These overgrown spruce trees had been planted around 30 years ago, by the then property owner, as small decretive trees. Over the years however they had grown somewhat larger than the previous owner would have anticipated, taking over the entire the front garden and encroaching on to the property itself. This made the entire front of the house very dark and oppressive.
After careful checks, the trees were found not to be protected or in a conservation area and where therefore safely climbed and section felled.
Via rope access, Steve climbed and section felled both trees in a totally controlled manner, using rope catching and lowering techniques on the tree nearest the property. This prevented any debris from falling on to the roof and eliminated any potential damage that could be caused by a less experienced or less competent tree surgeon.
The end results of the work at this property speak for themselves, a much brighter and less gloomy aspect, with much more space and no danger of the trees root system damaging the house or driveway.
